INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY
The Corry Alliance Church is located in the rural community of Corry, Pennsylvania. The City of Corry (pop. 6,600) is
centrally located approximately 2 hours from Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Cleveland. The church is located on Route 6 on
the western side of the state, approximately one-hour south-east of Lake Erie.
Corry Alliance Church was founded as part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1893 by a handful of members
who first met in homes and tents before moving to the first church building in 1895. The members met faithfully at this
location until the property was purchased at the corner of Route 6 and Hatch Street in 1977. As the church grew in the
early 2000’s, we built a two-story addition with conference room, handicap elevator, and rooms for starting a daycare.
The daycare later expanded into the Corry Alliance Academy for schooling kindergarten and first grade. A second
addition was built in 2010 for the Academy, which now educates students from kindergarten through sixth grade.
